49ers Trade for Emmanuel Sanders

The San Francisco 49ers have acquired Emmanuel Sanders from the Broncos. The 49ers will also receive a 2020 5th round pick, and will be sending a 2020 3rd and 4th rounder back to the Broncos.

The 49ers wide receiving crew has combined for the second lowest yards in the league with only 679. They also rank dead last in targets and receptions per game. Sanders will add an immediate boost to those rankings.

Sanders, 32, a two-time pro bowler has 30 receptions for 367 yards and two touchdowns on the season. He is a veteran who has played in super bowls and big time moments. This is exactly what the 49ers need as they sit at 6-0 and atop the NFC West.

“Obviously it’s hard any time you break up,” Sanders told KCNC-TV as he left the Broncos’ facility as the team’s practice began. “We had a great run out here in Denver, lot of great teams.’’

Sanders also added he was ready to “get out to San Fran and showcase my talents.”

There’s no question that this was a solid move by the 49ers, who understand that winning Super Bowls is all about constant improvement.
