Big Blue Report: Giants sign Kicker Graham Gano

The Giants found themselves going into camp without a place kicker due to the departure of Pro Bowl kicker Aldrick Rosas. Rosas, who found himself in multiple legal situations during the offseason and was not bought back.

On Thursday, Big Blue announced the signing of former Carolina Panthers kicker Graham Gano. Giants fans might remember Gano from his game winning 63 yard field goal against New York in 2018.

Gano met the media via zoom on to Thursday to discuss his arrival to New York and if anyone mentioned the kick.”I had a feeling that would be the first question” said Gano. “I’ve heard it a few times. I think it’s probably best if I don’t talk about that much here. That was as good memory. I’m definitely excited to be here now and hopefully too many people don’t bring that up. “

Upon arrival to camp, Graham found his footing and jumped into work with Riley DIxon and the rest of the special teams unit.

“We started working together yesterday” said Gano. It’s been very smooth. Riley (Dixon) and Casey (Kreiter) have been very good with the operation. It’s been really surprising how quickly we have picked it up. Today we made all of them. It was nice to be behind a line of scrimmage again. It’s fun, this is what I enjoy doing. It’s nice to be back playing football again.”
