Saquon Back Early?
The original ruling on Saquon Barkley’s sprained ankle was out 4-8 weeks. Did anyone mention this to Saquon as he was seen at practice yesterday on the field running and cutting.
Just because he is cutting and doing some running, this does not mean he is ready to return on the field just yet.
“We’re just going to see where he’s at” said Pat Shurmur. “He’s out there moving around. I’ve seen him moving around. I guess this is the first opportunity for you guys to, so that’s probably why it’s a point of interest.”
Evan Engram has helped pick up the load offensively for Barkley sad that he can not believe on how quickly Barkley has been on the mend.
“I think his body is just made in a lab, I don’t know” said Engram on Wednesday at his media session. “I’m happy, though, it was good to see. I’m glad everything is coming along recovery-wise, and now it’s just being smart with it and not trying to rush anything.”
Barkley was injured in the first half against Tampa two weeks ago and originally speculated to be out possibly two months. Having him on the field is a great sign for Giants fans.
