We will Have Quarter updates!!

First Quarter Reaction:

The Lions dominated the time of possession as the lions had the ball for about nine minutes. The Giants defense which is short handed with Jack Rabbit and BJ Goodson out, eventually broke as Matt Stafford connected with Marvin Jones for a touchdown at the 4:00 minute mark.

The Giants offensive line deserved the slack they received in the first quarter as they almost gave up a fumble. Which was the fault of John Jerry. If this team can not protect Eli, then this team will go nowhere quick.. Doesnt matter of the new toys Eli has to play with.

At the end of the 1st Quarter 7-0 Lions with the Giants pushing.

2nd Quarter Reactoion

The Giants started the Quarter in good shape with an Eli 18 yard pass to Engram for a touchdown. The giants woes began to build up as they were giving up 56% of the third downs.

After another Detroit touchdown made it a 10 point game at the half.

This has not been a solid performance by the Giants Defense as they have beeon the field for 19 minutes of the 1st half..

3rd Quarter:

The Giants started the third quarter with a whmper and went three and out. Later in the quarter added a filed goal to make it a one score game.

The issue Ihad was the amount of time the defense was on the field. In the first half they last about 20 out of 30 minutes. The other issues was stopping the Lions on third down.

Detroit went 5-9 on third down conversions in the first half. The is teaam just seems worn down …

4th Quarter:

You cant keep giving your opponents opportuniitites because if you do they will eventually will take advantage of them. The giants left too many doors open for the Lions to put the game away and they eventually did.

The Giants gave the ball back to the Lions with 12:56 left which led to a James Agnew 88 yeard punt return.  That was the end as the Giants offense could not get out of their own way.

There is something very scarry about expectations going into a football season. Yes, it is only game two and there are 14 more but the Giants might have started to believe their own press clippings.

Odell Beckham and Brandon Marshallhave been non factors, and the line issue has never been addressed from last season.

Give the lions their due, they wonand took advantage of  opportunities aas Matt Stafford was 15/21 for two touchdown passes. It just feels like the Giants missed opportunities.

I will have a full post game report with comments from Jonathan Casllias, DRC, and much more.
