-They Said It-

Drew Brees on the Giants Defense-

“I see a really stout front. I think that the addition of (LB Alec) Ogletree – I played against him a few times over the years when he was with the Rams. He’s a real smart football player. I think he brings an element to that defense. Obviously, you’re talking about one of the elite corners in the league, and really a solid secondary all the way around. As a group, as a unit, they play really, really well. We got to be ready for whatever they’re going to throw at us.”

Saints Head Coach Sean Payton on Saquon Barkley:

“He’s powerful, his balance is exceptional. It’s hard for one player to bring him down and I think his strength, his vision, he is exceptionally fast, but I think his ability to stay on his feet and play with a real low center of gravity makes it difficult to tackle. What you’re trying to tackle is more difficult, and he’s a fantastic player. Obviously, everyone did their homework in the draft and saw his skillsets throughout the process. I think we’re just beginning to see the tip of the iceberg.”

Giants QB Eli Manning on Meeting Drew Brees:

“I think I met Drew – he was still at Purdue, I think we were both at a Colts game and somehow being at Purdue in Indiana and I said I was at one of Peyton’s (Manning) games and he came to the game. I think I met him on the sideline or met him maybe in the locker room after so I was in high school or college at the time and just kind of kept up. Just known him since then and watched his career.”

Giants Head Coach Pat Shurmer On the difference between playing the Saints Inside compared to Outside:

“Some people have said that, they’re more explosive at home in the dome and all that. I don’t know. They’re pretty explosive on offense, Alvin Kamara is a tremendous player and they target him quite a bit. Drew Brees, #13 (Michael Thomas) is a good player as well, and they do a good job up front. They do enough to keep you off balance, and you’re dealing with a guy that’s Drew Brees, who is one of the best. “

We will have more coverage through out the day!!!
