Jets Boost Game Day Experience for fans with 3 New Partnerships

The New York Jets hosted their Gameday Upfronts to announce new additions to the MetLife Stadium experience on Gamedays. The third annual event was held on Tuesday August 21st and featured the debut of a variety of new elements, including new and unique partnerships, engaging fan and programming initiatives, gameday themes, value meals, and more.

This announcement is a display of the Jets commitment to create a fun in-game atmosphere for their fans. Headlining the announcement are new multi-level partnerships between the Jets, Marvel, Def Jam Records, and the WWE. As an organization, the New York Jets have emphasized the importance of partnering with some of the biggest, most recognizable and innovative brands. These partnerships are ultimately created with the initiative of finding a way for fans to truly benefit from them.


The Jets partnership with Marvel will showcase a number of Marvel-themed features for fans at MetLife Stadium this season, including a Hulk vs. Thor themed Green Out, presented by Toyota, against the Minnesota Vikings onOctober 21st. Upon entering the stadium on this day, the first 15,000 fans will have the opportunity to receive a limited Hulk-themed bobble head giveaway. The partnership will also feature the creation of two comic books; the first, a Hulk vs. Thor storyline, where a poster of the comic book cover will be given to all fans upon exiting the Vikings game. In addition, there will be a comic book written about Super Bowl III, celebrating the iconic championship’s 50th anniversary. Released in four chapters, the first part will be available, the Official New York Jets App and Jets social channels on October 10th. The Jets partnership with Marvel is presented by Toyota.

Jets President Neil Glat said of the partnership “We are excited to announce our new partnership with Marvel Entertainment, We are always looking for creative, new experiences and ideas for our fans, and we look forward to working with an iconic brand like Marvel.”

Followed by a statement by Marvel Publisher John Nee “Marvel is thrilled to be working with a partner like the New York Jets to provide fans new and unique ways to connect with the Marvel Universe, This multi-faceted partnership – including comics, game day collectibles, and more – will bring some of our most popular characters like the Hulk and Thor directly to thousands of Marvel and New York Jets fans this season.”

Def Jam Records

The collaboration between two iconic New York brands with the Jets and Def Jam will bring an enhanced gameday experience. The partnership will focus on three main elements being music, content, and in-game experience. Def Jam will be bringing their passion and commitment to Hip Hop culture and will bring exclusive content and music to the team and unique to the Jets.

“Through our partnership with Def Jam Recordings, we are looking to amplify our in-game experience and provide fans with entertaining content from their truly talented artists,” said New York Jets President Neil Glat. “In collaboration with this New York company that is recognized all over the world, we are excited to see what new and unique endeavors await our fans.” As part of the new partnership, Def Jam will create a Jets Anthem to be heard during home games at MetLife Stadium. The custom track will be part of the pregame ritual as the team takes the field.

A video content series will also be created, featuring the interaction between Def Jam artists and Jets athletes. The series will highlight the combination between the brands through various elements this season. The first video of this series will provide viewers with an exclusive look at second-year safeties Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye’s visit to Jadakiss’ studio in Yonkers, NY.

Additionally, Def Jam will provide the Jets with new music, along with classic hits from artists spanning their vast library to be used in weekly hype videos leading into game day. The hype videos will live on New York Jets social media channels throughout the season.


The Jets will host Kids Day on 10/7 when they take on the Broncos. During the game, WWE Legends and Superstars will be at the stadium making appearances. There will also be kid-focused programming throughout the game, such as GenJets Kids Fest, a kid reporter, youth football games at halftime, a WrestleMania 35 ticket giveaway and a video board featuring player’s favorite moments and a kids-cam during timeouts.

Other themed games at MetLife Stadium:
Super Bowl III Celebration

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Super Bowl III, the Jets announced a featured them for the Jets vs. Colts game on 10/14. The celebration includes a dinner honoring the 1968 team before the game, a halftime ceremony, a special TV show on WCBS airing on the anniversary of the game (1/12/19), and a White Out where the team will wear white jerseys and white pants with grey facemasks to commemorate the championship team. At the White Out, fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet Jets Legends and Flight Crew Cheerleaders, as well as purchase Super Bowl III anniversary items. Super Bowl III celebration is presented by BankUnited, Pepsi and ShopRite.

MetLife Stadium:
50/50 Raffle for the Jets Foundation

In addition to the other in game entertainment the Jets have announced a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Jets Foundation and other charities.  Raffle tickets can be purchased from pre-game, up until the end of the 3rd quarter. The winning number will be announced early in the 4th quarter and one lucky fan will win half of the raffle jackpot, while the remainder will go to charity.

Mobile Ticketing

This season, under a new league policy, the Jets have moved to a mobile only ticketing program. Fans can access their mobile tickets through the Jets Official Mobile App. Virtual Jets Rewards Cards are also available in the Jets Official Mobile App to use for entry and Jets Cash, but season ticket holders can continue to use their physical cards.

Value Meals

Again this  season, hot dogs and 12 oz. sodas will be offered half price at all Frank’s locations for Season Ticket Holders. All fans can purchase value items including: hot dogs, chips, and soda meal for $7; a turkey wrap and fruit for $7; value pretzel, soda or popcorn for $3; value water for $2 and $5 value beers at the Bud Light Beer Garden and various locations throughout the stadium.
