“The philanthropic passions of NFL players come to life in incredible ways all year long,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in a statement. “We are proud to expand our efforts to highlight the extraordinary impact of NFL players and teams in communities across the country.”

More than 800 players will represent hundreds of charitable organizations. These organizations focus on bullying prevention, those working with autistic youth, and those supporting families impacted by gun violence. The NFL player works with Nike, Under Armour and Adidas t0 design their cleats. On social media, players will share images of the cleats and why they chose it using hashtag #mycausemycleats.

The NFL understands how much work these players put in every week. Giving back to the community definitely makes them go beyond the field and acting as human beings that care about these issues. After the games, these players have the opportunity to raise funds for their causes by auctioning at NFL Auction. Any funds raised will be 100 percent donated to charities selected by the player.
