XFL Reveals Team Names and Logos

The XFL has spent the last 24 months signing stadium agreements, determining team locations, and hiring head coaches. They signed their first Quarterback last week, Landry Jones. \

This week the league revealed the team names and logos for the eight clubs. The XFL is making progress and getting everything in order for their inaugural season which starts in February.

“The XFL is about football and fun, and our team identities are intended to signify just that,” said XFL President and COO, Jeffrey Pollack. “Now it’s up to our fans and players to help write the story. What happens on the field and in the community, in the years ahead, will determine the true spirit of each team.”

There are still things to come for the league. They still have to finalize a rulebook. The league says that their rules will include a shortened play clock to speed up the game and unique extra points.

It will be a quite a different look from the football we are used to seeing. Also to come is the drafting of players which will take place in October. After that will be minicamp in December and then training camp in January.

Now lets take a look at the team names for the eight XFL teams.
