AEW Full Gear 2025 Returns to Newark: A Tri-State Tradition Continues

All Elite Wrestling will return to one of its strongest markets this fall as the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey hosts AEW Full Gear on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The highly anticipated event will air live across the globe on pay-per-view and continues AEW’s growing legacy of major events in the heart of the Tri-State area.

Tickets for Full Gear go on sale Monday, August 25 at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster.com and AEWTix.com. Fans seeking early access can sign up to become an AEW Insider via allelitewrestling.com/aew-insider.

“We are thrilled to return to Prudential Center for AEW Full Gear on Saturday, November 22,” said Tony Khan, AEW CEO, GM, and Head of Creative. “AEW is having a fantastic 2025, and based on the history of great support from the fans at Prudential Center for this event in 2022 and 2024, I believe this year’s AEW Full Gear will once again be one of the biggest and most exciting events of the year.”

The return to Newark for Full Gear marks the third time in four years that the November pay-per-view will be held at the Prudential Center, solidifying the arena as one of AEW’s most trusted destinations for major shows. The venue’s central location and passionate fan base have helped make each event feel like a homecoming for the company’s top stars.

Full Gear’s Newark Legacy: From MJF’s Crowning Moment to Moxley’s Reign

AEW’s first trip to the Prudential Center for Full Gear came in November 2022, and it delivered a landmark night in the company’s history. In front of over 12,000 fans, MJF defeated Jon Moxley in the main event to capture the AEW World Championship, marking the beginning of his first reign with the title. The event also featured the long-awaited in-ring return of Saraya (formerly Paige) after a five-year absence due to injury, and a thrilling Trios Championship defense by Death Triangle.

“The crowd in Newark was unreal that night,” MJF recalled in a 2023 Unrestricted interview. “It felt like all of Long Island drove through the tunnel to see me take what was mine.”

AEW returned to the Prudential Center again in 2024, once again delivering a stacked Full Gear card that mixed star power with rising talent. The main event saw Jon Moxley defend the AEW World Title against Orange Cassidy, while the undercard featured Bobby Lashley defeating Swerve Strickland, Kyle Fletcher scoring a breakout win over Will Ospreay, and Daniel Garcia capturing the TNT Championship from Jack Perry.

Though slightly lower in attendance than 2022, the 2024 edition still brought in an impressive 10,000+ fans and showcased AEW’s roster depth and creative flexibility, especially with recent additions like Lashley and the continued elevation of younger stars.

Why Newark Works for AEW

Few venues outside of AEW’s home base of Daily’s Place or the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens have hosted as many tentpole moments as the Prudential Center. Its proximity to major cities, transit access, and energetic Northeast crowd have made it a prime location for Dynamite, Collision, and Full Gear broadcasts.

Newark’s significance goes beyond geography. Full Gear 2022 was MJF’s coronation. Full Gear 2024 was a showcase of the company’s evolving core, blending veterans like Moxley with newer faces like Fletcher and Garcia. With AEW riding high in 2025 after a successful All In: Wembley, a renewed touring schedule, and the return of major names like Kenny Omega and Thunder Rosa, this year’s Full Gear is poised to deliver once again.

What to Expect in 2025

While no matches have been announced yet for the 2025 card, there are early storylines to watch:

  • Will Will Ospreay finally headline a U.S. PPV for AEW?

  • Could Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, or even CM Punk make a return to AEW soil?

  • And will MJF, now a household name and rumored to star in Happy Gilmore 2, come home again to steal the spotlight?

One thing is certain: with three successful Full Gear events in Newark now on the books, the Prudential Center has firmly established itself as AEW’s East Coast pay-per-view hub.
