When people think of NXT, they usually don’t think much of Trick Williams. Well, at least to a certain someone when you say his name. Suddenly, he appears! You’d better start clapping to the beat.

Still, you can’t deny that Williams has established himself as the face of NXT. He’s a former two-time NXT champion and a former TNA champion, quickly becoming one of the most recognizable faces in the pro wrestling industry. In fact, he was the one who toppled Joe Hendry at NXT Battleground on May 25.

But that’s not all. He’s a former NXT North American champion and won the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge in 2023. Add being ranked No. 19 in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s top 500 singles wrestlers in 2025 and you have an upcoming star.

Trick Williams Being A Star Stems Beyond His In-Ring Work

Did you think that Williams was simply a wrestler? Surprisingly, you’d be mistaken. He’s also a rapper, producing singles such as “Average Joe,” “Mike Who,” and “Tricky Whoopin’.” Any time a rapper ethers Joe Hendry in a rap battle, you know who you should actually believe.

It’s even better seeing a random dude cosplaying as Hendry. You also must admit the video goes extremely hard. John Cena, move over. Trick Williams is taking over the pro wrestling rap game. Imagine the girl you want running past you and going to the two-time NXT champion instead. That’s a Nas-level diss right there.

But his rap game isn’t the only noteworthy part of his career. He also called out a WWE legend, only to be chokeslammed by the very ethers he created.

Williams Gets Chokeslammed By The Undertaker

On July 21, Williams randomly showed up on RAW to go off on the Undertaker. He called him out and continued his tirade the next night. Then…

*DONG*

The Undertaker appears and chokeslams him to the underworld. But that’s not something you should entirely focus on. Instead, you should focus on how the new NXT face looked the Deadman in the eye.

That’s what makes him special. He’s able to captivate people on the microphone, whether he’s in the ring or in the recording studio. Williams looks like he’s the ultimate adversary in TNA and NXT, making him one of the most recognizable faces around.

Therefore, you shouldn’t sleep on him as a wrestler. Who knows? He might even get the bump-up to Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown. Maybe fans will be “Whoopin’ That Trick.”
