It’s never fun to be kicked out of a group you’ve known for years, especially if you’re Moose. The former TNA World Champion was part of The System for three years, earning top honors as the group’s representative. So what did the group do to show their gratitude?
They kicked him out. So much for honor and respect, eh? Fast forward to this past Thursday and The System is running all over the TNA roster again.
The former NFL player’s old crew was laying waste to roster mainstays such as TNA World Champion Mike Santana and the TNA World Tag Team Champions, the Hardys. All seemed lost and hopeless until the heavyweight arrived on the scene and got his revenge. Suddenly, everything seems right and fair with the big guy around.
But let’s look at the former faction member and examine why this is a great thing. TNA is getting a massive shakeup on the wrestling landscape, adding a burly monster to the side of justice. But it goes merely beyond balancing the odds in favor of the good, though.
Why Moose attacking and getting his revenge on The System is a great thing
Let’s be honest for a second. It’s tough for any faction to go longer than three years in a wrestling promotion. Eventually, their acts become long in the tooth and start wearing thin on pro wrestling fans. Of course, you have your exceptions, such as The New Day and The Judgment Day. But it still rings true.
The System has had an exceptional run with Moose at the forefront, winning the TNA World Championship, the TNA X Division Championship, and the TNA World Tag Team Championships. To say that this group has been unstoppable within the promotion is an understatement. Prominent names like Nic Nemeth and The Hardys have been in the crosshairs, adding more credibility to the stable.
But let’s also be honest here for a second. The stable has seen its share of lowlights. Brian Myers dancing around in a turkey suit and not gaining more titles hasn’t done this group much justice. So why not have the former head of the group end it all?
It goes with the whole “I led you and this is how you repay me” sort of angle. The man was literally the face of the group and won the highest championship in the promotion. Yet, he gets kicked out? It’s time for him to exact his revenge and in a big way.
