In a move sure to excite both longtime fans and a new generation of wrestling enthusiasts, WWE and NBC have officially announced the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The iconic show, which first debuted in 1985, will make its comeback on Saturday, December 14, airing live at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and simulcast on Peacock. This marks the first primetime special of the series in years and is set to take place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York—the site of the very first Saturday Night’s Main Event nearly four decades ago.
This revival comes as part of WWE’s new five-year domestic media rights partnership with NBCUniversal, which recently kicked off with the return of SmackDown on USA Network. As part of this new deal, Saturday Night’s Main Event will air quarterly on NBC and Peacock, providing fans with special, primetime WWE programming throughout the year.
Tickets for the event will go on sale this Friday, September 20, at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster. Fans eager to secure their spot at this historic event can also register now to receive an exclusive presale offer, with the presale beginning Thursday, September 19, at 10 a.m. ET. For registration, fans can visit the official WWE website.
Additionally, WWE has partnered with On Location to offer exclusive Saturday Night’s Main Event Priority Passes, which provide a premium experience. These passes will include perks like premium seating, hospitality events featuring WWE Superstars, exclusive photo opportunities, and more. Fans can visit On Location’s website to learn more and purchase these packages.
Peacock remains the exclusive streaming home of WWE in the U.S., with fans able to watch a wide variety of WWE content, including upcoming premium live events like Bad Blood, NXT Halloween Havoc, and Crown Jewel. The platform also offers WWE-centric shows such as Bray Wyatt: Becoming Immortal, American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes, and WWE Evil.
With its rich history and beloved status among wrestling fans, Saturday Night’s Main Event promises to bring WWE’s signature blend of sports entertainment and drama back to the primetime spotlight.
