The New York Giants return to Metlife Stadium Monday night to host the Dallas Cowboys for their second meeting of season on ESPN. Kick off time is at 8:15pm EST.
The Giants fell to the Cowboys in Dallas in their opener on September 8th 35-17. Daniel Jones played the last few minutes of the game after the game got out of hand.
This will be the 11th meeting between New York and Dallas on Monday Night Football with the Cowboys holding a 7-3 record against Big Blue on the big stage on National TV.
Since the Last Super Bowl win for New York, the Giants are 4-11 against the Cowboys. This will also mark the first time since 2004 that Eli Manning will not be calling the shots for Big Blue.
The Cowboys are currently leading the NFC East with a 4-3 record with a half game lead over Philadelphia. Dallas has a balanced offense attack led by Dak Prescot, Amari Cooper, and Zeke Elliot which had struggled at points of the season.
The Giants offense thought they would have star receiver Sterling Shepard back in the lineup for the big match up but was ruled out on Saturday as he is still being treated for a concussion.
Shepard has missed the past three games after suffering a concussion vs. Minnesota on Oct. 6. He was cleared from the protocol on Friday afternoon after an appointment with the independent neurological consultant.
PREDICTION: Giants and Cowboys are in two different places right now. The Giants are looking to develop young talent with in game training while the Cowboys are fighting for their playoff lives.
This will be another great test for young Daniel Jones against a quality opponent as this has been the best Dallas defense in years. If the offensive line holds up the Giants offense can put points on the board, but could they stop the high powered Dallas offense?
Score Prediction: Cowboys 29-14
