The New York Giants will wrap up their 2026 preseason on Friday night when they travel across MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Jets.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET, with the game airing locally on WNBC and WNJU.
While the preseason matchup will not count toward either team’s regular-season record, it provides one final opportunity for players battling for roster spots and starting jobs to make their case before the Giants and Jets turn their attention toward the regular season.
The Giants and Jets have a long history despite sharing the same stadium. The teams have met 15 times in the regular season, with the Giants holding an 8-7 advantage in the all-time series.
However, the Jets have won the most recent regular-season meeting between the teams.
The Jets defeated the Giants 13-10 at MetLife Stadium in Week 8 of the 2023 season. The Giants will be looking to get back in the win column against their stadium neighbors, having not defeated the Jets since December 24, 2011, when New York’s NFC team earned a 29-14 victory in Week 16.
Friday night’s game will also serve as the final preseason evaluation for Giants head coach John Harbaugh and his coaching staff. With the regular season approaching, every remaining snap could be important for players attempting to secure a roster spot, earn a starting role or establish themselves on special teams.
For the Giants, the preseason finale represents the final step before the focus shifts completely to the regular season.
The Battle of MetLife is set for Friday night.
