Things have finally come to a head between the New York Jets and pro-bowl safety, Jamal Adams. The blockbuster trade was confirmed by Brian Costello and Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
The Jets have agreed to send Adams to the Seattle Seahawks for a first and third round pick in 2021 and safety Bradley McDougland. The Jets will also send a 2022-fourth round pick to Seattle for Adams.
Adams with the Jets was a two-time Pro-Bowler and first team All-Pro after the 2019 season. He made issues his with the Jets public in the offseason and demanded a trade in July.
While the deal is pending a physical, the trade is a huge move for the Seahawks as they try to improve their defense. The Jets on the other hand are falling fast and that doesn’t bode well for head coach Adam Gase.
