Another season, another round of NBA Classic Jerseys are on the table in the 2024-25 campaign. Looking ahead, there are four teams that are lined up to rock some old-school threads this year. Of course, the trend of old is new is always fun to take part in. This is not the first season for some teams in particular; this is occurring. Two of the California teams are taking part this year. The two teams that were originally based in Canada also are playing in. If people want to know last year’s teams with throwbacks, the news of 2023-24 can be found here.
The original source to break the information regarding throwback jerseys is sportslogos.net, which has full details here. So, who will be the four teams that will break out NBA Classic Jerseys this season? Let’s take a deeper read…
2024-25 NBA Classic Jerseys
Meet The Teams
Team No. 1: Golden State Warriors
Ah, yes, the Golden State Warriors are a team with one of the richest histories in basketball. If fans remember the 2021-22 season, the Warriors wore a blue “Heritage” edition jersey that flashed back to the days when the team played its games in Philadelphia. This year’s classic is essentially a carbon copy but in white instead of blue.
From day one, our foundation has always been legacy.

Now, interestingly enough, the white duds were the first uniforms the Warriors ever wore when they began play in 1946. Obviously, uniform culture has undergone a major shift since then.
The Warriors will rep the Philly 40s duds a total of 13 times this season. Seven of those games will come after the calendar flips to 2025. Eight of the 13 will be road duels. It’s exciting to see a team tap into its old roots. For the Warriors, it’s a flashback to the early days.
Team No. 2: Memphis Grizzlies
The second team to wear NBA Classic jerseys this year is also going back to the dawn of its franchise. In this case, it’s the Memphis Grizzlies. Now, a few years ago, the Grizzlies paid homage to their franchise’s beginnings in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with a bold turquoise jersey. This year, to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, they’re re-running the classic theme, except with the white jerseys with the red Vancouver on top of the bold Grizzlies wordmark.
The Vancouver throwbacks are on the docket of 11 for Memphis’ 82 games this year.

Now, the Grizzlies aren’t the only team celebrating a 30th anniversary this season. In fact, they’re not the only team of Canadian origin joining the throwback train.
Team No. 3: Toronto Raptors

The Toronto Raptors are also celebrating 30 years in the NBA. To commemorate the occasion, they will be wearing the two-sided purple front and black back jerseys from 1999-2006, which recognize the greatness of names like Vince Carter, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Tracy McGrady, just to name a few players. Purple was originally one of the dominant colors in Toronto’s scheme, and it’s a color Raptors fans love.
And… to be fair, purple is one of this writer’s favorite colors, too. Speaking of purple NBA Classic Jerseys…
Team No. 4: Sacramento Kings
To celebrate 40 years of NBA B-Ball in the Golden State, the Sacramento Kings are joining the throwback train.

These jerseys celebrate the era of the early 2000s, with players like Mike Bibby, Jason Williams, and Chris Webber. Sacramento will wear these early 2k threads eight times over the course of the season and will partner with a court to follow suit, featuring the old logo from 1994-2014.
As the trend of old is new again continues to roll, the NBA Classic Jerseys are a perfect example. All of these teams have some slick threads in their closets. Who knows what sort of exciting throwback unis may be appearing in years to come?
