Game 57: March 4, 2025

Golden State Warriors at New York Knicks 

Final Score: GSW 114 – NYK 102

Tuesday’s night loss to the Golden State Warriors saw the New York Knicks’ three-game winning streak getting snapped. New York had many chances in this game but failed to capitalize. Stephen Curry led the charge in this victory for Golden State. He managed to score 28 points while also adding nine assists. With this win, Curry is now 12-1 at Madison Square Garden, which is really impressive.

Even better, Golden State is now 9-2 since acquiring Jimmy Butler from the Miami Heat at the trade deadline. Speaking of  Jimmy Butler, he and Brandin Podziemski added 19 points apiece. The team improved to 3-1 on their five-game road trip. As for the Knicks, OG Anunoby led the team with 29 points, followed by Jalen Brunson, who had 25. Golden State improves their record to 34-28 with the win, while New York falls to 40-21 for the season. Up next, the Warriors will stay in New York to take on the Brooklyn Nets, while the Knicks hit the road for a five-game trip that begins in Los Angeles against the Lakers.

Game 58: March 6, 2025

New York Knicks at Los Angeles Lakers 

Final Score: LAL 113 – NYK 109

The Knicks kicked off their five-game road trip with an overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night. New York had many opportunities to blow the game wide open but failed. Ultimately, Los Angeles would come back in this game and winning it in over time. But the biggest storyline of this game was the loss of Jalen Brunson. On a drive play in overtime, he would twist his right ankle and foot as he crashed to the floor after contact with Austin Reaves. After the game concluded, it was revealed by the team that he had a sprained ankle and would have to miss the next two weeks—such devastating news to hear.

Before the injury occurred, Brunson did put on a stellar performance. He would managed to score 39 points. OG Anunoby contributed with 20 points while dropping four triples on eleven attempts. As for the Lakers, Luka Dončić took over with 32 points and 12 assists, showing why he remains one of the league’s best playmakers. LeBron James also had a huge performance, finishing with 31 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists. With this win, Los Angeles improves their record to 40-21, while New York falls to 40-22.

Game 59: March 7, 2025

New York Knicks at Los Angeles Clippers 

Final Score: LAC 105 – NYK 95

For the second straight night, the Knicks would go on to lose against another Los Angeles team, this time the Clippers. New York would eventually be without their star, Jalen Brunson, due to an injury. Star James Harden led Los Angeles with 26 points, followed by Ivica Zubac who had 16. Despite the loss, New York did put on an impressive fight to keep them in the game. Mikal Bridges had 22 points on an 8-of-12 shooting night, while Josh Hart paired 14 points with a career-high 20 rebounds. Not to mention, Karl Anthony Towns would lead all scorers with 23 and hit a double-double performance. This would also mark the first time the Knicks have loss three straight games that dates back from Jan. 3-6.
