WWE continues to make waves in 2025 with major announcements that will reshape the landscape of professional wrestling. From the launch of a new developmental brand to record-breaking achievements at the Royal Rumble, a historic event in Paris, and the anticipation of WrestleMania 41, WWE is capitalizing on its global expansion and commitment to delivering premier sports entertainment.
WWE EVOLVE: A New Path for Rising Stars
In collaboration with Tubi, WWE has announced the debut of WWE EVOLVE, a brand-new series that will showcase up-and-coming talent as they strive to make their way to NXT and eventually WWE’s main roster. The show is set to premiere on March 5, 2025, exclusively on Tubi, with new episodes airing every Wednesday.
“We are excited to work with our incredible partners at Tubi to showcase our young, rising talent to the WWE Universe, as they start their in-ring journey competing each week to fulfill their lifelong dream of becoming a WWE Superstar,” said WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, Shawn Michaels.
Featuring recruits from college athletics and independent wrestling circuits, WWE EVOLVE will highlight the intensity and dedication required to become a WWE Superstar. The series will prominently feature talent from WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, as well as WWE ID, a groundbreaking new developmental initiative.
Royal Rumble 2025 Shatters Records
WWE’s Royal Rumble 2025, held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, made history by setting new benchmarks across multiple categories, including attendance, viewership, merchandise sales, sponsorship revenue, and social media engagement. With an attendance of 70,342 fans, the event generated the largest gate for any single-night event in WWE history, trailing only behind WrestleMania 40’s two-night earnings.
Viewership soared with a 14% increase from the previous year on Peacock in the U.S., while international audiences saw even greater growth thanks to WWE’s new streaming deal with Netflix. Merchandise sales skyrocketed by over 95% compared to the previous record, making it the highest-grossing non-WrestleMania event of all time.
Additionally, sponsorship revenue surged 94% from 2024, with every match featuring brand partnerships. On social media, WWE saw record engagement, including a viral moment when Bron Breakker speared popular streamer IShowSpeed, amassing over 300 million views in under 24 hours.
The night’s action saw Charlotte Flair and Jey Uso emerge victorious in their respective Royal Rumble matches, securing their spots in world title bouts at WrestleMania 41.
WrestleMania 41 Set to Be a Historic Event
Following the momentum of record-breaking events, WWE is gearing up for WrestleMania 41, which is expected to be one of the biggest in company history. The highly anticipated event will feature title matches earned by Charlotte Flair and Jey Uso at the Royal Rumble, as well as other marquee matchups yet to be announced. With WWE’s expansion into new markets and a continually growing global audience, WrestleMania 41 is poised to set new records across attendance, viewership, and engagement.
WWE’s First Premium Live Event in Paris
Expanding its global footprint, WWE has confirmed Clash in Paris, the first-ever Premium Live Event in the French capital, scheduled for August 31, 2025, at Paris La Défense Arena. The venue, known for hosting major concerts and sporting events, will also host WWE Raw the following night on September 1.
“Backlash France in Lyon last year broke arena records and decibel levels, demonstrating just how loud and passionate our WWE fans in France can be,” said WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. “We believe Clash in Paris and Raw will attract people from around the world to Paris and once again create a true spectacle.”
Fans can register for an exclusive presale opportunity for Clash in Paris at WWE’s official website. Additionally, Priority Pass ticket packages will be available through On Location, offering fans VIP experiences including ringside seating, meet-and-greets with WWE Superstars, and premium hospitality.
Special Edition of NXT to Air Live from Cincinnati
In another exciting development, WWE has announced a special live edition of NXT, scheduled for February 25 at The Andrew J. Brady Music Center in Cincinnati. The event will air live on The CW at 8 p.m. ET. Tickets for the event go on sale January 31 via Ticketmaster.
WWE’s Unstoppable Momentum
With WWE EVOLVE set to provide a new pipeline of talent, Royal Rumble smashing records, and the upcoming Clash in Paris marking another milestone in international expansion, WWE’s influence in the world of professional wrestling continues to grow. As 2025 unfolds, WWE is poised for another groundbreaking year, delivering action-packed entertainment to fans worldwide, culminating in a monumental WrestleMania 41.
