PORTLAND, Ore. (April 6, 2020) – The Trail Blazers and Moda Health have teamed up to facilitate live virtual PE classes for all youth in an effort to inspire family and youth health and wellness while school is virtual and regular PE classes remain inactive. Trail Blazers Virtual PE presented by Moda Health will feature fan-favorite personalities, including Trail Blazers Youth Coaches, BlazerDancers, Stunt Team and Rip City Crew, providing a daily 30-minute PE activity to help keep kids and families active. Coaching Peace is assisting with writing the program curriculum. Activities are designed to be inclusive of all ages and skill levels and will follow Trail Blazers mascot Blaze the Trail Cat as he goes on virtual adventures to stay active.
Trail Blazers Virtual PE presented by Moda Health will stream on Instagram Live from the @BlazerCommunity platform Monday – Friday at 10:00 a.m. Activities are available for anyone with access to Instagram and participants are encouraged to tune in daily to see what Blaze and all his friends from Rip City do next.
