Cavaliers guard Darius Garland poured on 34 points as he drove through the lane and hit five of his eight 3-point attempts. Center Jarrett Allen added a 15-point, 15-rebound double-double. Forward Evan Mobley showcased his skills on the interior as he pushed past New York’s interior defenders for contested shots. He blocked three shots on the other end, shifting to the inside to deter driving guards if they had a clear path to the basket.

The Cavaliers trio of Allen, Mobley and guard Donovan Mitchell each scored 20 points or more. Allen garnered his third double-double of the season as he brought down 17 rebounds. Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James led LA with 26 points through a dominant paint performance on his former home court. Guard Bronny James, the son of LeBron and a former 5-star USC commit, scored his first two points of the season as he knocked down a pullup jumper late in the fourth quarter.
