The Cavaliers completed another victory over the Wizards behind 24 points and eight assists from guard Darius Garland. Garland balanced out an inefficient night from the floor with a handful of made free throws and two steals. Cleveland prevailed on its home court despite hitting just under 40% of their shots and 30% of their 3-point tries. Three Cavs, including guard Donovan Mitchell and center Jarrett Allen, logged 20 points or more. Allen, who ended an early-December win over Washington with three rebounds, bounced back with an 11-rebound performance as he boxed out and acted as an anchor for a high-flying Cleveland squad. The Cavs will move on to a short stretch before Christmas, one that includes a Central Division rival in the Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers on back-to-back nights.
