Overview

Beaux Limmer has been a staple for the Arkansas offense over the past few seasons. While he hasn’t gained a ton of conference or national recognition for his skills, he still has what it takes to captain an OL as a center in the NFL.

Having experience playing both guard and center, Limmer has the versatility coaches like. Aside from this, he also has good athleticism and footwork that allows him to operate well in space and anchor down in his pass sets. Especially on pulls and getting to the second level, Limmer is fluid with his motions as he looks to find work. Additionally, despite his height, Limmer also often goes into contact with good leverage as he doesn’t pop up too quickly. Lastly, Limmer has experience snapping to a QB from under center. It may not seem like much, but it’s one less thing coaches have to worry about.

However, barely 300 pounds, Limmer lacks the strength to consistently win, especially against bigger DTs. This point is further emphasized thanks to the below-average length of his arms. When he punches, he has difficulty latching on, and his hands are easily swatted away. More so, Limmer appears off-balance in a fair amount of his reps. He goes into contact top heavy resulting in whiffs on his assignments.

At the end of the day, Limmer is a smart and experienced kid who knows how to get the job done. Is he a premier talent that’ll blow evaluators away? No, but he can still come in and make an impact if and when he’s called upon.

My Two Cents

As already said, Limmer is not a generational IOL prospect. However, he could be a steal later on Day 2 of the draft. With this being said, there’s also the possibility he falls to Day 3. It all depends on how the dice are rolled come draft weekend.
