The Cavs squeaked by with their second win over the Central Division opponent in a few days. Cavs guard Darius Garland put on a scoring showcase to remember, hitting 15 of his 22 shot attempts and seven of his 11 tries from the 3-point line. A missed 3-point shot early in the first quarter seemed to help him understand it now, as he seemingly forgot how to miss until late in the next quarter. Center Jarrett Allen added 14 points, 15 rebounds and six assists. He put himself in solid positions to score, rebound, and get open looks for his teammates with handoffs and passes near the top of the key and at the top of the arc. Bucks guard Damian Lillard led Milwaukee with 36 points as he found ways to score from all across the floor.

Cleveland Cavaliers at New Orleans Pelicans

Cleveland fully showcased its offensive potential when it ended the night with 131 points and six Cavs in double figures. Guard Donovan Mitchell continued the trend of having a clear scoring leader over the past few games with a team-leading 29 points. He found his stride from the left side of the floor, where he hit a barrage of jumpers to compliment his successful drives. Allen continued to be a reliable option in the paint, notching his sixth double-double of the season in nine games played. Three Pelicans scored 20 points or more, including a season-high 27 points from guard Jose Alvarado.

Golden State Warriors at Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavs were beyond dominant against the 7-1 Warriors in the first half. Cleveland flew out to an 83-42 lead by half’s end. It hit just over 65% of its shots from the floor and just under 64% of its long-range tries in the lopsided half. Forward Evan Mobley, who is posting a career-high in points per game this season, used an improved second half to end the night with 23 points. Guard Ty Jerome, who is having a resurgent season during his second year in Cleveland, added 20 points off the bench.

Brooklyn Nets at Cleveland Cavaliers
Final Score: BKN 100 – CLE 105
Cleveland clawed back from a double-digit 3rd-quarter deficit to take a close victory over Brooklyn on Saturday. Mobley, Garland, and Mitchell scored a combined 65 points, including 19 of Cleveland’s 35 4th-quarter points. Mobley notched his third double-double of the season with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Caris LeVert added 12 points off the bench. The Cavs outscored the Nets by 26 points in the paint and by nine in the fastbreak.
