Following a rough loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday night, the New York Knicks bounced back with a hard-fought win over the Houston Rockets. First and foremost, this victory was tougher to secure than their previous game against the Lakers, as the Rocket had pushed the Knicks to their limit. What is their biggest storyline for this game? Overcoming a double-digit deficit. Jalen Brunson is leading the charge in this winson. He contributed with a team-high 42 points that came along with 10 assists, six rebounds, and two assists. The Knicks outduel the Toronto Raptors in a close contest to notch their second consecutive victory. With this win, New York has swept the season series against Toronto. Three of these last four games have been very close, and that could’ve gone either way. Carrying the team in this win is Jalen Brunson. Similar to the last game, Brunson delivered another dominant performance that was enough to help New York get the win. He managed to score 28 points and came along with assists, two steals, and two three-pointers. Karl-Anthony Towns also had contributed as well. He added an additional 27 points while shooting 10-for-19 from the field. As for the Raptors, Scottie Barnes led the way. In a losing effort, he managed to score a team-high 23, along with five assists.

For the second time this season, the Knicks have been blown out by the Boston Celtics by 30+ points. Saturday night’s loss proves that they just can’t compete with their rivals—regular season or playoffs. If they want any shot against the defending champs, changes need to happen sooner rather than later. What is the biggest storyline for last night’s Boston blowout? Jayson Tatum‘s 40-point masterpiece. He just couldn’t be contained by New York’s defense. You also have Jaylen Brown, who put up a good performance.
