Tuesday night’s win over the Philadelphia 76ers saw the New York Knicks get their first win in the NBA In-Season Tournament. Many things went right for New York in their latest win against their divisional rivals. First and foremost, Karl-Anthony Towns continues to prove doubters wrong with another solid performance. He finished the evening with 21 points, along with 6 assists and 13 rebounds. Even better, six Knicks players scored in double figures, including Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, and Towns.
New York was even able to prevent Joel Embiid from having a big game in his season debut. The team had limited him to just 13 points, along with five assists and three rebounds. Embiid only made two of his 11 shot attempts. His best shot came off an open three-pointer off a pick-and-roll.
Game 10: November 14, 2024
Chicago Bulls vs New York Knicks
Final Score: CHI 124 – NYK 123
New York’s second-half late comeback attempt wasn’t enough, as they fell short to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night. The team had a chance to pull their biggest comeback win of the season, but they couldn’t get the job done. First and foremost, they trailed by a game-high of 22 points. Things did start to look interesting in the third quarter as the Bulls lead started to shrink. New York’s 37-12 run in the third quarter is the reason why Chicago’s lead had started to dwindle. The Knicks did not take the lead until the fourth quarter on Josh Hart’s layup to make it 97-96 with just nine minutes to go. Unfortunately, the small lead wouldn’t last longer as the Bulls were able to get their lead back.
Leading the Knicks for the comeback attempt were both Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, who looked good for both halves. Towns finished the evening with 46 points, while Brunson, on the other end, finished with 24 points. Together, they managed to combine for 70 points. New York hopes they can producing more performances like this for the rest of the season.

Brooklyn Nets vs New York Knicks
Final Score: NYK 124 – BKN 122
Jalen Brunson’s late three-pointer with six seconds left to play sealed New York’s win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night at the Garden. He finished the evening scoring 37 points while dishing out seven assists. But he wasn’t the only one who came through for the shorthanded Knicks team. Mikal Bridges, former Net, also saved the game from going into overtime on a game-sealing block. This was not an easy win for New York as they had to play without Karl-Anthony Towns and Miles McBride. Despite the obstacles, they got the job done, and that’s what mattered. As a result of their win, New York has improved to 2-0 in the NBA In-Season Tournament.
Game 12: November 17, 2024
Brooklyn Nets vs New York Knicks
Final Score: NYK 114- BKN 104
For the second consecutive game, the Knicks defeated the Nets at the Garden. New York was playing near full strength this time. Karl-Anthony’s (knee) decision was a game-time one, but he managed to play and lead the team with his eighth double-double. He finished with a game-high 26 points while adding 15 rebounds and dishing six assists. He was pretty efficient for the most of the game. However, he isn’t the only that contributed tonight. OG Anunoby also played great as well. He wrapped up the night with just 24 points while 8 rebounds.
