The New York Knicks blew out the Washington Wizards to earn their eighth straight win. It was the second game in three nights between the two teams. With this win, New York has improved their record to 23-10, while Washington falls to 5-25 for the season. Josh Hart leads the way for New York in this blowout victory. On Monday night, he recorded his third triple-double of the season along with 23 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. But he wasn’t the only one that contributed to this big win. Karl-Anthony Towns also had a monster game by himself. He recorded 32 points, along with 13 rebounds and one assist.
Game 33: January 1, 2025
Utah Jazz vs New York Knicks

No Brunson, no problem. The Knicks were able to take care of business at home against the Utah Jazz to earn themselves their ninth straight win. However, New York had to play without their star Jalen Brunson, who sat out due to a right calf tightness. With this win, New York has improved their record to 24-10, while Utah falls to 7-25 for the season. Josh Hart led the way once again. For the second consecutive game, he recorded another triple-double. It was his fourth triple-double of the season. There’s a lot to like from what we’ve seen from Hart this season thus far. Overall, he finished the night with 15 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists. Credit also goes to Karl Anthony Town, who also had another 30+ point performance.
Game 34: January 3, 2025
New York Knicks at Oklahoma City Thunder

All good things must come to an end. Friday night’s loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder had ended the Knicks’ nine-game winning streak. Additionally, this victory extends Oklahoma City’s winning streak to 14 straight. A reason for this loss was thanks to Oklahoma City’s late rally in the fourth quarter. Jalen Williams added 20 points, and Aaron Wiggins scored 15 of his 19 points in the final period when Oklahoma City erased an 88-80 deficit by outscoring the Knicks 37-19. I. Isaiah Hartenstein also had an impactful game against his former team, contributing 14 rebounds, seven assists, and four points for the Thunder.
As for the Knicks, their leaders stepped up in scoring, with Mikal Bridges contributing with 24 points. Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 17 points and 22 rebounds. Jalen Brunson added 22 points, OG Anunoby scored 20, and Josh Hart had 19. Though this loss was tough, New York is known for regrouping quickly after setbacks.

New York Knicks at Chicago Bulls

Karl-Anthony Town’s 44-point performance was enough as the Knick fell to the Chicago Bulls. This also marks the first time in a while that New York has dropped back-to-back games. The last time this occurred dates back to November 4th and 6. Zach Levine led the way for Chicago in this big win over New York. He contributed a team-high 33 points, along with seven assists, four rebounds, and three three-pointers. Coby White also managed to score 33 points (11-17 FG), which came with a career-high of 9 three-pointers in the game.
